Reid’s mom almost died. Then he took charge.

When Reid Zlotky was 4, he watched his 4-year-old friend Sam battle leukemia. Three years later, his mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Reid came home from school every day to a bald and exhausted mommy. His mother and friend survived, but the experience inspired the Greenhill School senior to dedicate his young life to volunteering for Heroes for Children. The organization has provided $5.5 million to nearly 6,000 families since 2004. Reid was at the Dallas nonprofit’s first charity event, Light the Night, when he was little, and he’s been involved ever since.

Greenhill Students Participate in Pete Sessions Leadership Program

U.S. Congressman Pete Sessions announced that six Greenhill Upper School students participated in the annual Pete Sessions Leadership & Growth Program in Washington, D.C., this past summer. Princeton community stands with Israel

As members of the Princeton University community, we believe in Israel’s right to live in peace. Moreover, Israel has both the right and the duty to protect itself, its borders, and its citizens from terrorist attacks… In the past few weeks, thousands of rockets have been indiscriminately fired towards Israel by Hamas, a group that has been designated by the United States and the European Union as a terrorist organization. Their actions have resulted and continue to result in the death of innocent civilians both in Gaza and in Israel.

To the Editor: 

As leaders of an objection regarding USG’s management of Referendum No. 3, we strongly and unqualifiedly disavow those who have harassed the Chief Elections Manager, or alleged that he operated in bad faith. His was a simple and honest mistake — the kind we are all given to make. He is as deserving of empathy and charitability as anyone.

Off-campus group funds Facebook ad falsely claiming recent Caterpillar referendum failed to pass

From April 14 to 15, Israel War Room (IWR), an organization with no affiliation to Princeton, spent $800-899 on a sponsored Facebook post declaring that the Undergraduate Student Government (USG) referendum to halt the use of Caterpillar machinery had been defeated. In fact, preliminary results showed that the referendum had passed, and results have yet to be certified by USG as of April 17… Reid Zlotky ’23, the official referendum opposition leader, told the ‘Prince’ that he has not coordinated with these outside groups and that “they’re acting on their own behalf.”
